Adaptive Snow Skiing

The Learn-to-Ski Clinic is an annual event held at Ski Beech Mountain Resort in North Carolina.  This clinic is designed to serve persons interested in snow skiing who are disabled or visually impaired.

The Learn-to-Ski Clinic has been hosted by Ski Beech Mountain Resort for 25 years and ASAP has sponsored it for the last three years.  Top adaptive instructors from all over the country come to provide instruction and guidance to all participants.

Types of adaptive skiing offered are:

  • monoskiing
  • biskiing
  • 3 and 4 tracking
  • snowboarding
  • skiing for the visually impaired

The Learn-to-Ski Clinic is held in January each year, typically the week after the Martin Luther King Jr Holiday.

In addition to skiers, we are looking for volunteers who are comfortable on the slopes providing a buffer between the other skiers and the adaptive lessons.
